Disabling Personal Apps in favour of Team Apps

Personal Apps will be removed

Today, Apps (that contain a set of API keys, or Credentials) can be created under your personal developer account or under a Team. This has been confusing for some of our developers, especially as many of our APIs are only accessible via Team-owned Apps. With the new release of the developer portal, Apps can be created and managed under Teams only and we will be removing the ability to create and manage Apps under your personal developer account.

FAQ

What happens to my current personal developer Apps?

Your current personal developer Apps will still work today, however we have switched off the ability to create new personal developer apps. We will soon be announcing the removal of personal developer Apps, and as a result all personal developer Apps will have the their API keys revoked as part of the new release.

We encourage you to re-create your Apps as a Team-managed App so that you can continue using the APIs before we remove the personal developer Apps.

What happens to my Team-owned Apps?

There are no changes to Team-owned Apps.

When will these changes take place?

Personal app registration has been disabled in December 2023.
